Discovery of King Tutankhamen's Tomb 图坦卡蒙之墓的发现
On November 4th, 1922 in the Valley of the Kings, Eqvpt. King Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered by Howard Carter. a British archaeologist. The unexpected v rich burial consisted of more than five thousand objects, many of which were in a highly fragile state, so conserving the burial goods for removal from the tomb required an unprecedented effort. After the restoration of most artifacts, Tutankhamun's Golden Mask quickly became the most famous among all of the contemporary ancient Egyptian artifacts. This astonishing news quickly fascinated many Egyptologist and spread to Europe and then the entire globe.

The Official End of the First World War第一次世界大战正式结束
On November 11th 1918 the series of wars that lasted for four years finally ended with peace. After the completion of the Treaty of Versailles. Germany signed an armistice, and this day is known as Armistice Dav. signaling the official end of the First War. All the people who suffered from the wars celebrated and many of them wept with tears of joy: the long-awaited peace had finally come.

The Establishment of Thanksgiving Day 感恩节的来历
On Thursday, November 26, 1789, President George Washington issued a proclamation for "a day of public thanksgiving and prayer." Beginning in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln encouraged Americans to recognize the last Thursday of November as "a dav of Thanksgiving". Historically, Thanksgiving was celebrated at a time when most farmers were finished harvesting their crops. They would have a cheerful dinner with their family and closest friends to celebrate their blessings and harvests. These farmers were mostly Pilgrims who landed in the New World. However, its origin is controversial since the Native American people might feel mournful and furious on this day due to the genocide and conquest by colonists. Therefore, in the United States, this day is also known as the National Day of Mourning to appease the Native residents and Latino people and atone for their sins.
