近日，高中部校长黎蒙老师与同学们分享了一本由耶鲁大学世界史教授瓦莱丽•韩森杜撰的一本书名日《公元 1000年：全球化的开端》。书中讲述了维京人、拜占庭人、罗斯人、阿拔斯王朝、宋、辽、金、玛雅以及当时世界上其他全球化推动者的故事，内容相当权威，叙事妙趣横生。同学们可深入了解作为全球化重镇之泉州，和当年之中国。感兴趣的同学们可以拜读一番！

Reading is a part of our school, and Principal Meng Li has recommended a wonderful book for all the Tsinglan Students. The book is "The Year 1000: When Explorers Connected the World and Globalization Began" written by Valerie Hansen. Principal Meng Li has been inspired by this book and she shared some takeaways with us, saying teachers need to cultivate students' interests in the unknown and openness to different ideas.
